Whom do I share this with?
"When you have a strong support system, you have the freedom to express yourself in whatever capacity you can."
I cannot even remember the amount of times I felt happy and really wished there was someone to share it with. I mean, yes; it feels great to achieve what you wish but do you know what makes you feel even better? The fact that you have someone to share it with and celebrate the win. I mean, I can only imagine how it must be when you just won the race and came home to tell mother but then she said that she is busy or when you aced a test and went to share it with a friend but she was busy with other people and couldn't bother or even the day you got your first pay and you went to share it with your siblings but they were too busy with their own stress. These seem like the happiest moments but it does tend to dull down when the lack of sharing exists. It does not lessen the happiness but it does not feel as great either.
It may lead to you not sharing things with anyone or keeping to yourself but you know, what it can do? It can help you feel the happiest on your own, it can make you understand the importance of patience and learning to savor the moment on your own and sharing it just when the situation feels right. I know, it would be so much more accurate to feel the intensity of the emotion at the moment but it is absolutely okay for others to not feel it at the moment. It does not mean they do not care, it could just be because the person does not have the headspace to carry the emotion.
Your success does not become less important or not so relevant just because no one understands it. It just does not become the highlight at the moment. And this is not just about happiness but all the other phases of life. Each and every emotion and situation is valid, if it affects you, it may just not be the place for you to open up about it. And I really hope you do find the people who make your emotions feel valid and seen, no matter what place or people are around. Till then, enjoy the moment to the fullest and savor the moment and wait for the people to share it with.
