There is so much happening

“For fast-acting relief, try slowing down.”

Do you remember the last time you actually sat and took some rest? There is always some or the other thing going on, first you take care of personal life and physical fitness, then you plan on eating well, then you plan on giving your best at work and then you go ahead with socializing and then you come back to cook and then dinner and doomscrolling and skincare routine and then sleep out of exhaustion.

So yeah, when was the last time you took some rest, and no; it does not mean sitting idle or scrolling on phone mindlessly with some show in background or even just listening to people rant constantly. Rest is clearly a time where your brain gets a break from everything around you and then you get to have clarity and less of thoughts or extreme of any emotions or numbness. I know, it does seem like a difficult thing to achieve but you can manage, did you know that? Well, it is a little tough but can be manageable. And no, you will not miss out trying to be your best self but you will have to get rid of the guilt that comes from trying to be everything but not being present.

You have to let go of having a 5 step skincare routine and sometimes just wash your face with water and sleep, you have to work out regularly even if it is for 15-20 minutes, you can get cheat meals once in two weeks, you can slack off work once in a because there are other people who can work or saying no to an outing plan with friends, even giving 5 minutes of time to your thoughts to journal, even if it is in your mobile notes app. These small habits can lead to big differences in the long term, only if it's done with consistency.
