‘Tis the season

“Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.”

It is such a lovely time. There is so much comfort and warmth around us. The skies is in beautiful hues of red, yellow and pink and the food is wholesome and fulfilling while the people are all bright and blushing. It is nearing the end of the year and we are here, remembering everything we did and did not do this year. No matter what happened and how it happened, we made it through all of it. And you know the best part? Despite all of it, there is still hope, that tiny flicker of light inside you, waiting to be seen and heard. And it is indeed a sense of strength that you are here.

I can imagine, you must be recalling how you started this year and how you have reached here. The goals, the ambitions, the lessons, the madness, the emotions, the workout routines, the diet, the education, the projects and of course, love. All of it comes like a strong wave, since it is also the season of being with your people. Yes, I will not deny how it also gets a little extra emotional during this season but whom can we blame? It is the time of nostalgia and choosing to latch onto moments or turn it into memories and cherish it for life.

It is important that you remember, that this is also the season of letting go and hoping for better things ahead. Yes, it may or may not have been the best year but it was all yours. It was about everything you did and everything you are and will grow to be. And it will always be about the person you become, in spite of all the things happening around you. It is just you and your past version that has turned into something you can never imagine. So it is time, you give yourself a pat on the back, because you did it. And I am proud of you.
