It’s not easy

It is such a new feeling to let someone inside your life when you are just building onto something in your life. You are just starting to build a routine, make sense out of the changes in life and then you decide to commit to someone or even build a new relationship. I mean, family, friends and colleagues are someone we do not just choose always, it happens with time and we make peace with habits and make space for them naturally. But when it comes to love, we willingly let them in our lives. We start to feel the calmness and a little rush around them, the wait for their response, yearning to see them for once and feeling at ease the moment we see them. 


I understand, it can get scary when all you have been is just work and study and work and so on. It can get difficult to build space for love because you never had one. But, how would you know if that person will stay in that space?Well, you build it around them. The times you spend together, the time you get to know each other, the times you listen, understand, ask questions or even observe what they like or dislike. You know, it can be difficult at times but mostly it gets easy after a time once you build a bond. You also start to feel comfortable around them, you use their lingo, you catch their habits before they understand and you even start to become family. And that is how it all comes to you naturally. 


You see, it is not easy but if you give it some time and trust, just maybe, it turns into something you build naturally too. Not because it just happened but because you made the choice to let them close to you. And that choice is what makes this relationship even more precious, because it is now your person, chosen by you, for you.

“Actions speak louder than words” The promises that we make to people are never ending. We will be there for each other; we are in love, nothing can change it or even no power can separate us. Yes, very valid and so supportive but are these only words or shown in action too? That is where the real question lies. We do show our support through words and say so many things but how much we actually work on it, that makes a difference. And you know, it gets disappointing to only hear words and not see it in action because why would you say it if you cannot do it! The way out in this is very simple, say what can be done by you. Do not make promises out of your capacity. It is okay to be there without saying it, it is okay to not buy the fanciest thing when you know the last thing you can do is pluck a flower and it is absolutely fine to not go out of the way to get things done when it is not leading to happiness for either of you. It’s a new beginning…

“Two steps forward and one step back is still one step forward”   It is here. The new year we have all been eagerly waiting for and also planning into. There might have been so many realizations and new goals list coming up. The new year resolutions and the trending vision board. It is like having a blank slate for yourself, you can write, draw, paint, sketch or even stick pictures of how you wish to be in the upcoming year.
